The CaravanRescue Insurance scheme is underwritten by Lloyds of London Underwriting Syndicate Number 4444. This syndicate is managed by one of the leading Management Agencies at Lloyds called Canopius Managing Agents.
The insurance capacity of Canopius Managing Agents is in the region of £450 million for this year.
The insurance syndicates which collectively are known as ‘Lloyds of London’ have a reputation for first class security and are recognised by two leading independent international credit rating agencies as A ‘Excellent’ Stable Outlook and A ‘Strong’ Rating Watch Positive (A.M. Best and Standard and Poor’s respectively).
The total financial strength of Lloyds of London exceeds £27 billion and has an annual premium income capacity of more than £16.1 billion for the current year.
Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (FSMA)
CaravanRescue Insurance Services is part of NorCounty Insurance Services Ltd. (the company) and from the 14th. January 2005 the company is an authorised person (Firm Reference Number 312512) within the terms of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 to carry on the regulated activity of Non Investment Insurance Contracts, including advising, making arrangements with a view to a transaction, dealing as agent and assisting in the administration and performance of a contract.

CaravanRescue Insurance Services is part of NorCounty Insurance Services Limited and is Authorised & Regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
NorCounty Insurance Services Limited trading as CaravanRescue Insurance Services accepts responsibility for the advice given and for arranging your insurance policy. The company agree to explain the main features of our product or service, say who the insurer will be, inform you of the important details of cover, the period of insurance and point out any important restrictions or obligations.
Quotations
If you make an enquiry for a premium quotation we will tell you how long you have to make your decision to take out the policy at the price and terms we have quoted and we will give you our quotation in writing together with all relevant information to assist you in reaching a decision. We can provide you with a sample copy of the policy document if you so require.
The policy recommended by CaravanRescue Insurance Services is based on the information you supply. It is your responsibility to provide complete and accurate information to Insurers when you take out your insurance and throughout the life of your policy as this could affect your premium or invalidate your cover.
Proposal Information
When proposing for any insurance policy, you must provide all material information likely to influence the acceptance and assessment of the risk. If you have any doubts as to whether a fact is material it should be disclosed. Failure to disclose all material facts may invalidate your policy or may result in your insurance not operating fully.
Insurers and their agents share information with each other to prevent fraudulent claims and for underwriting purposes using The Claims and Underwriting Exchange Register operated by Insurance Database Services Limited. A list of participating members is available on request
In dealing with an application for insurance the Register may be searched. In the event of a claim the information you supply in your insurance proposal and the claim form, together with any other information relating to the claim, will be retained in the Register and made available to participating members
Claims
CaravanRescue Insurance Services does not deal with all aspects of your claim since this is the responsibility of your insurer. However we will help in the claim presentation and negotiation with your insurers.

Our Terms of Trade
1. All quotations are subject to acceptance of the proposal by the insurer
2. CaravanRescue Insurance Services will use its best efforts to offer a competitive premium and a fair and satisfactory administration service. In return the company receive a sales commission paid by the insurer but this does not cover all our set-up or administration costs and the following additional handling charge will apply:
i. Single axle and static caravan new business set-up cost - £10.00
ii. Twin axle caravan new business set-up cost - £30.00
iii. Midterm adjustments - £10.00
iv. Renewal of the policy - £10.00
v. Cancellation of the contract - £15.00 (See 3 below)
3. In the event of a refund of premium the amount returned will be given less any sales commission on the refund.
4. The interest rate on the credit scheme operated by the company is 10% of the amount to be financed or some other figure advised at the time of the transaction.
In case of complaint
In the best of circumstances sometimes things go wrong and if this does happen with your insurance arrangement we will make every effort to deal fairly and promptly with your enquiry. Please contact us with a full explanation of your concern and address your complaint to the Managing Director of CaravanRescue Insurance Services, Bridge House, West Drive, Oxenhope, West Yorkshire BD22 9LJ or to the Chief Executive of your insurance company at the address shown in your policy document. If you are not satisfied with the response you receive you may write to The Financial Ombudsman Service, South Quay Plaza, 183 Marsh Wall, London E14 9SR.
